ATLANTA, GA — The United States are looking to make it two wins from two at the Copa America as they prepare to face Panama in Atlanta.

The host nation beat Bolivia 2-0 on Matchday 1 to give themselves a strong start to the tournament and suggest they can mix it with the best that South America has to offer.

Panama battled well against Uruguay in their opener but eventually succumbed to a 3-1 defeat. They are now in desperate need of a result to keep alive their hopes of progressing to the knockout phase.

USA vs. Panama lineups, team news, starting 11

Given how well the system worked against Bolivia at the weekend, Gregg Berhalter may be reluctant to change it up too much.

Joe Scally, at 21, was the youngest player to feature, while Tim Ream, at 36 years and 261 days, became the oldest American to play in this tournament. Tyler Adams made his first start since the victory over Mexico in the March Nations League final. Giovanni Reyna, meanwhile, has started four consecutive matches for the USMNT.

Folarin Balogun bagged his fourth goal for the national team, and Christian Pulisic became the third American to score in five different competitions, joining only Eric Wynalda and Clint Dempsey.

Josh Sargent missed both pre-tournament friendlies with a foot injury, but recovered in time to make the bench at the Copa America opener. A yellow card to Weston McKennie in the opener vs. Bolivia leaves him as the only player in danger of being suspended for the finale against Uruguay with a booking tonight.

USA predicted starting XI: (4-3-3, right to left): Turner (GK) — Scally, Richards, Ream, A. Robinson — Reyna, Adams, McKennie — Weah, Balogun, Pulisic.
