FC Dallas announced the signing of its league-leading 16th homegrown player Thursday, inking 15-year-old Jesus Ferreira to a first-team deal.

The son of 2010 MLS MVP David Ferreira, who played for Dallas from 2009 to 2013, Jesus Ferreira is the youngest player in club history. The forward joined the FCD academy at the age of 8, when his father signed with the team.

Ferreira joins Kellyn Acosta, Coy Craft, Jesse Gonzalez, Aaron Guillen, Moises Hernandez, Paxton Pomykal and Victor Ulloa as homegrown players on Dallas' current roster.
