The former president picked Duke to take home the men's trophy this year. If he's right, it would be the first time in history a 5-seed has won the NCAA Tournament.

Obama is certainly familiar with the Blue Devils. He was in attendance for Duke vs. North Carolina at Cameron Indoor Stadium in 2019, a game the Tar Heels won 88-72. It was also the game in which freshman sensation Zion Williamson suffered a bizarre injury after his shoe fell apart in the opening minutes.

His predicted Final Four consists of 5-seeded Duke, 3-seeded Baylor, 1-seeded Houston and 2-seeded UCLA.

Other notable upsets in Obama's bracket include 8-seed Memphis taking down 1-seed Purdue to reach the Sweet 16; 13-seed Iona making a run to the Sweet 16; and 7-seeded Michigan State reaching the Elite Eight. He also appears to have forgotten to pick a winner in a second-round clash between Pitt and Xavier.

Obama is riding with top overall seed South Carolina to complete an undefeated season and secure a repeat in 2023. The Gamecocks are entering the tournament as overwhelming favorites after putting together a 32-0 record. He also picked Dawn Staley's squad to win last season's tournament, which they did by defeating UConn in the national championship game.

His prediction for the Final Four features all four No. 1 seeds: South Carolina, Indiana, Stanford and Virginia Tech. He has the Gamecocks taking down the Hoosiers in the championship game this year.

Obama played it a little safer in his women's bracket, picking relatively few major upsets. However, he does have 11-seed Purdue taking down 6-seed North Carolina and 11-seed Middle Tennessee defeating 6-seed Colorado in the first round. He also tipped 7-seeded NC State to make a run to the Sweet 16.
