Tom Brady's next act? Produce, star in comedy film '80 for Brady' with Jane Fonda, Sally Field

Cameras will once again be fixed on Tom Brady. Only now it will be in a Hollywood studio instead of an NFL stadium.

Brady is set to produce and appear in a film starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field calling, "80 for Brady," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kyle Marvin, who co-wrote the script with Michael Covino, will direct the picture, per the report.

The film will focus on a quartet of best friends who go on a trip to see Brady and the Patriots play in Super Bowl 51, and is based on a true story. The four Patriots fans will be portrayed by Tomlin, Fonda, Moreno and Field.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is set to begin production in the spring. 

Brady is represented by the same agency as Tomlin, WME, as well as Latham & Watkins, per the report.

Brady is not completely out of his realm in making the transition to Hollywood. He has been the producer for his ESPN documentary, "Man in the Arena" and was an executive producer for 18 episodes of "Religion of Sports," according to his IMDb page.

His acting has been limited to a few cameo appearances, with episodic appearances in "Family Guy," "The Simpsons" and "Entourage," while making some movie appearances in "Ted 2" and "Entourage," the 2015 film.
