The Las Vegas Raiders selected Maryland Offensive Tackle Delmar Glaze with the 77th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The former Maryland lineman has experience playing left and right tackle, playing over 1,000 snaps at both tackle positions during his college career.

Glaze's run-blocking leaves much to be desired, but the 21-year-old is solid in pass protection, allowing seven sacks in his entire collegiate career that spanned over 1,370 pass-blocking snaps.

The former three-star recruit posted an 80-plus pass-blocking grade in three of his four seasons at Maryland. However, despite his excellence in pass protection, Glaze looked out of sorts in the run game, struggling to execute and finish blocks at an above-average level.

Glaze will likely compete for the Raiders' starting right tackle spot, but there is a belief he could play guard, something general manager Tom Telesco mentioned. Regardless, filling a need earns Vegas and Telesco some points.

But this was a clear reach by the Raiders in the third round. Glaze likely would have been available in the late fourth or early fifth, but Vegas decided to burn a Day 2 pick on the former Maryland Terp, who is currently a below-average run blocker.
