Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams put out one fire Thursday, clarifying recent comments criticizing the direction of the team, but another one broke out.
The Kansas City Star reported that Adams is among those being sued by a cameraman Adams shoved after a Raiders loss to the Chiefs in October, an incident for which Adams was criminally charged. The lawsuit includes four other defendants in addition to Adams: the Raiders, the Chiefs, the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority and Landmark Events Staffing.

Why is Davante Adams being sued?
Park Zebley, a 20-year-old student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City who was shoved as Adams ran off the field, said in the lawsuit that he feared for his life after the incident and received online threats. Zebley also alleged that he dealt with concussion symptoms.

The lawsuit says Zebley "felt concerned for his own safety" as a result of threats after the incident and "stayed away from his apartment."
His attorney, Dan Curry, said Zebley is "looking for compensation for what happened to him."

Adams was charged with misdemeanor assault. His next court appearance in the case is scheduled for June 26. The three-time All-Pro tweeted after the game that he was sorry and "felt horrible immediately."
Zebley told the Star the charge is "not sufficient."
"I'm looking for justice," he said. "You can't shove someone down and walk off like it didn't happen. Not in real life."
A case management conference in the lawsuit is set for Aug. 23, the Star reported. That means the suit will follow Adams and the two teams into training camp and likely beyond if no settlement is reached.
