The Browns will be without their top edge-rusher when they face the Falcons on Sunday.

On Saturday, the Browns downgraded defensive end Myles Garrett from questionable to out with injuries he sustained in a single-car accident on Monday.

Garrett was involved in a single-car accident on Monday, when his 2021 Porsche was flipped multiple times after he swerved trying to avoid an animal on the wet road. He and a female passenger in the car were wearing seatbelts and were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Myles Garrett injury update

The Browns officially listed Garrett out with injuries to his shoulder and biceps.

After the accident, the Browns released a statement announcing that he had a shoulder sprain, a biceps strain, minor lacerations and bumps and bruises, but noted that he did not have any fractures and he cleared concussion protocol.

The Browns noted at the time that while the team hoped to have him return to the team soon, his status for the game would be determined by team doctors during the week.

The absence of Garrett is another hit to the team's pass rush. EDGE Jadeveon Clowney is still listed as questionable after he missed Sunday's Week 3 matchup with the Steelers with an ankle injury he sustained in Week 2.

According to the team's depth chart, Isaiah Thomas would be the most likely starter off the left edge in place of Garrett, while Alex Wright would play in place of Clowney, should he be ruled out for a second straight week. Wright has seen the most playing time, having appeared in all three games this season and recorded two pass breakups and four tackles. Thomas has appeared in just one game for the Browns. Both players were drafted in 2022.
