Last season, the Los Angeles Rams enjoyed a breakout season from RB Kyren Williams. Despite missing four games in the middle of the season, Williams amassed 1,144 yards on the ground, finishing third in the NFL.

However, Williams has been plagued by lower-body injuries throughout his career. Williams broke his foot in practice and then missed most of training camp, suffered an ankle injury on the first kickoff of the Rams' 2022 season, and injured his ankle at the mid-season point in 2023. This injury sidelined him for another four games.

Then in the Rams' playoff game against the Detroit Lions, he broke his hand and missed the entire second half of the game.

Now, as the Rams begin OTAs, head coach Sean McVay announced Williams will miss their OTA period while dealing with a "foot issue."

McVay said they were holding him out for "precautionary reasons", but I can't imagine the Rams are particularly thrilled with his lack of durability. This likely played a significant factor in the team selecting Michigan RB Blake Corum in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

This is more of a gut feeling than report, but the more time that passes to think about the pick, the more of a factor I believe Corum will be in the Rams' offense in 2024-and beyond.
