Don't tempt the selection committee with a good time.

The most exciting part of the women's NCAA tournament bracket reveal on Sunday wasn't about seeds or snubs, first-round matchups or even dream Final Four scenarios.

No, it was about the Elite 8 collision course set for Albany between Iowa and LSU.

Nobody was surprised to see Caitlin Clark's Hawkeyes snag one of the four 1-seeds. But when LSU was revealed as the 3-seed in Iowa's region, you could feel the swell of anticipation for the game everyone wants to see.

Two heated rivals, two generational superstars, one spot in the Final Four and less than one year after meeting in the national championship game. With apologies to 2-seed UCLA or any of the other teams standing in the way, what more could any college basketball fan ask for?

If you're thinking about making the trek to Albany for what could be the most explosive regional in women's college basketball history — did we mention undefeated South Carolina is in the other Albany bracket? — here's everything you need to know about scoring tickets.

Iowa vs. LSU ticket prices in Albany

Both Iowa and LSU have plenty of work to do before making plans for Monday, April 1. And since neither are yet assured of playing, tickets are still reasonable.

As of Sunday night, the cheapest tickets on StubHub for the April 1 session in Albany are $112. Given Iowa has set ticket records all season long, it's reasonable to assume those will skyrocket in price if both the Hawkeyes and Tigers make it past the first weekend.

There's no question that the potential star power in Albany outshines the other regional in Portland. Case in point? Four-day passes for all sessions in Portland start at $230 while all-session tickets in Albany are already going for over $600 — and rising fast.

How high will tickets go?

The get-in price for Clark's senior night game against Ohio State was $491, the most expensive women's basketball ticket ever, NCAA or WNBA. So sure, you could wait to see if Iowa and LSU make it there. But if they do, expect to fork over way more than the $112 you can get in for right now.

Iowa schedule and path to Elite 8

Of course, there are 14 other teams not named Iowa and LSU in the Albany 2 bracket. And I'll freely admit, this much chatter about a possible rematch surely stokes the upset flames.

Yes, Iowa will likely be massive favorites against any of its first three opponents. But they have lost four games and just needed overtime in the Big 10 championship game to make it by Nebraska which earned a 6-seed.

5-seed Colorado in particular posits a potential Sweet 16 threat. The Buffaloes were at one point ranked No. 3 in the country and back in February were a projected 1-seed. While a 2-6 finish to the season marred an excellent start, they won't be a walkover.

Here is Iowa's schedule along with possible opponents before the Elite 8.

Iowa Road to Elite 8
Round Possible Opponents
1st Round 16 Holy Cross/UT Martin
2nd Round 8 West Virginia, 9 Princeton
Sweet 16 4 Kansas St, 5 Colorado, 12 Drake, 13 Portland

LSU schedule and path to Elite 8

LSU's road to the Elite 8 is far trickier.

After presumably getting by Rice, LSU star guard Hailey Van Lith could see her former team Louisville in the second round in Baton Rouge. The Cardinals will surely be amped for a shot to knock off their former All-American teammate.

Should LSU make it to Albany, it will likely have a date with 2-seed UCLA who must already be sick of this Iowa-LSU chatter. The Bruins knocked off USC, Ohio State and UConn earlier this year, and would likely be favored against the Tigers.

Here is LSU's schedule along with possible opponents prior to the Elite 8.

LSU Road to Elite 8
Round Possible Opponents
1st Round 14 Rice
2nd Round 6 Louisville, 11 Middle Tennessee State
Sweet 16 2 UCLA, 7 Creighton, 10 UNLV, 15 CA Baptist
