The next wave of NBA talent is knocking on the door and ready to come in.

On Thursday, the top amateur players will join the professional ranks at the 2022 NBA Draft.

Duke's Paolo Banchero, Gonzaga's Chet Holmgren and Auburn's Jabari Smith Jr. are among the players likely to go first overall to the Magic.

What time does the NBA Draft start today?

  • Date: Thursday, June 23
  • Start time: 8 p.m. ET

The 2022 NBA Draft will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday. Each team will have five minutes between picks, which means the draft will likely last approximately four hours.

The draft will last only one day and consists of just two rounds. There are 58 total picks in the 2022 NBA Draft.

What channel is the NBA Draft on today?

ESPN and ABC will handle the broadcast of the first round of the NBA Draft in 2022 in the United States before ESPN carries the second round. Canadian viewers can watch the NBA Draft on TSN.

ESPN and ABC will each carry the broadcast of the NBA Draft's first round. ESPN will be the only broadcast of the second round of the draft.

NBA Draft order 2022

The Magic will be the first team on the clock with the first overall pick, followed by the Thunder, Rockets, Kings and Pistons to round out the top five.

The Thunder, Spurs and Timberwolves each have four picks in the 2022 NBA Draft to lead all teams. Not mentioned below? The Lakers who do not own a pick in either the first or second round.
