Miami clinched an official playoff berth after beating the Bulls in the play-in game. It sets up a date with the top-seeded Celtics, who Jimmy Butler and Co. beat in last year's conference finals. Except this time, Butler won't be playing.
The Miami star is out for the foreseeable future with an MCL injury. He's inarguably the biggest reason the Heat advanced to two NBA finals in the past four years. While both ended in a loss, last year's finals run came as the eight seed in the Eastern conference.
The Celtics are the favorite to win the playoffs, having the best record in the NBA. We'll see how good Jayson Tatum is now that they begin the postseason. It sounds easy enough, beat a Butler-less Heat. They've done it three times this season, so what's four more?
