The Celtics are back on top of the basketball world.
With a win in Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals, Boston captured the 18th championship in franchise history, breaking a tie atop the all-time list with the rival Lakers. Monday night's performance put the finishing touches on a stellar season in which the Celtics went 64-18 in the regular season and 16-3 in the NBA Playoffs.

The really scary part for the rest of the league? The Celtics could be just as dominant during the 2024-25 campaign. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are firmly in the middle of their primes, and important pieces like Jrue Holiday, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White are signed through next year.
