With only one race remaining in the Round of 12, the pressure is on NASCAR Cup Series drivers to leave it all on the track.

LIVE: Follow the Bank of America Roval 400 playoff elimination race at Charlotte

Chase Elliott did as much last week. The Hendrick Motorsports star mounted an impressive rally on the final lap to snatch a win from Ryan Blaney, sealing his spot in the next round of the postseason. It represented the first time a playoff driver nabbed the checkered flag since the regular season ended, an unprecedented phenomenon.

Elliott took a risk on Sunday. And it paid off in spades. Perhaps that can serve as motivation for other drivers hoping to move one step closer to Cup Series glory. No better place to do it than "America's Home of Racing", either.
