Chase Elliott has raced well on the Atlanta Motor Speedway, but he has yet to come away with a first-place finish on the track.

Elliott, a native of Dawsonville, Ga., has placed in the top 10 six times in eight races, but fifth place to this point has been his best finish. But on Sunday, he'll lead the NASCAR Cup Series field in the 2022 Quaker State 400 after securing the pole position for the race.

"I would love to win here," Elliott told NASCAR. "That would be one of the best things to do, to win at your home track. I've watched guys do that over the years and you can tell that means a lot to them. I think it would be very much the same for me. It would be meaningful to be able to check that box."

So far this season, Elliott is tied for the most wins with Ross Chastain, Joey Logano, William Byron and Denny Hamlin at two; He's tied with Chastain for the most top-10 finishes at 12.
