It's a homecoming of sorts as Wrexham is set to travel to the Canadian west coast for a match this summer.

The Vancouver Whitecaps have announced they will be hosting Wrexham in an international friendly match on Saturday, July 27 at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. It will be the club's first trip to Vancouver — the hometown of co-owner Ryan Reynolds — since Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased the club in 2020.

Wrexham just earned a second consecutive promotion this year with a top-two finish in League Two. With the club set to play in League One next season, this will be an early chance for fans to take a look at some of the new recruits to the team as it adjusts to the next level.
