With the event being so high profile, it's not shocking to see there are a number of A-list celebrities confirmed to be attending the race. Among those VIPs are popular sporting figures such Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.
However, when you are talking about the most popular celebrities, we would be remiss not to mention arguably the most notable couple in 2023/2024 — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The international singer-songwriter and the Chiefs star tight end have been populating headlines dating back to September, and there is a chance they find themselves the talk of the town yet again this weekend.

Are Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce at the Kentucky Derby?
Kelce is at the 2024 Kentucky Derby, however it does not appear as though Swift is with him.
It was reported on Saturday that Kelce is set to walk the Kentucky Derby red carpet, a good sign he will be at the Churchill Downs event, according to Lexington Herald-Leader's Andrew Henderson.
He was later seen at the track, dressed in his best Derby outfit, but he did not have Swift by his side.

While the race at Churchill Downs may be considered the premier spectacle on the weekend, it is not the only high-profile sporting event. The F1 season continues on, with the series shifting to the United States for Saturday and Sunday with the Miami Grand Prix scheduled.
There have been reports that Kelce and Swift could be in South Beach to attend the race. The Chiefs tight end is an investor in the Alpine F1 team, along with his teammate Patrick Mahomes, PGA golfer Rory McIlroy and actor Ryan Reynolds. However, that race is Sunday, which gives Kelce time to appear at both sporting events.
The NFL offseason is in full swing, so Kelce has plenty of time on his hands to watch motor racing. For Swift, she has a break in her Eras Tour schedule, which picks back up again on May 9 over in Europe, with the next leg of her concerts set to be held in France.

Has Travis Kelce attended the Kentucky Derby before?
Similarly to Swift, there is no evidence that Kelce has watched the Kentucky Derby in person before.
Last year was arguably the best chance for the Chiefs tight end to catch the action at Churchill Downs. Mahomes was selected as the 2023 "Riders Up" caller, an honor that the race track instituted in 2012 for a special celebrity.
Mahomes was at the 149th edition of the event with his wife, Brittany, but his partner-in-crime on the field was nowhere to be seen.
