The PGA heads to Texas this weekend for the 2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open, known more commonly as the Houston Open. We have all the odds, betting information, and expert picks to prepare you to bet this fall classic.

While Memorial Park measures at 7,400 yards, it features a whopping eight holes of at least 490 yards. It also mixes in five par-3 holes, so we will be selecting golfers who possess particularly strong driving, approach, and around-the-green skills.

Cadence Bank Houston Open 2022: Best bet

Sam Burns (+1100)

We love Burns this weekend, mostly because he owns a unique combination of elite driving (.946 SG: Off-the-tee, ninth on the TOUR) and putting (1.048 SG: Putting, 10th). He's a great all-around golfer with a scoring average of 69.9 and a spot in the top 12 of the OWGR. Nobody in the Houston Open field drives the ball as far as Burns (319.7 yards), and few are as hot as he is coming into this tournament. The 26-year-old Louisiana native posted a -11 at the CJ Cup a couple of weeks ago (T7) and shot -8 at the Sanderson Farms Championship in early October (T30). With many of the previous Houston Open studs now with LIV Golf, Burns should be able to make some noise among a much narrower player pool.

Cadence Bank Houston Open 2022: Best value

Denny McCarthy (+3300)

McCarthy has enjoyed a strong 2022, and he enters this tournament scorching hot. He finished T6 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship two weekends ago, shooting an opening-round 63 and never exceeding 69 in subsequent rounds. That marked his fifth top-seven finish in the calendar year, including a T7 at the U.S. Open, and we think he showcases the skill set needed to take down a challenging course like Memorial Park. Don't sleep on Denny!

Cadence Bank Houston Open 2022: Top sleepers

Keith Mitchell (+5000)

Mitchell not only drives the ball far (317.2 yards per drive), but he also demonstrates superb accuracy (72.86-percent driving accuracy percentage). He owns the sixth-best SG: Off-the-tee (1.056) on the TOUR and has been no stranger to birdies and even eagles. Mitchell has the strength, confidence, and experience to take this tourney down.

Sepp Straka (+8000)

Straka has quietly enjoyed a fantastic year, but he never seems to get the notoriety he deserves. And while he does not have elite numbers, he has exhibited proficiency in every area of the game. He showed off his accuracy at the Sanderson Farms Championship last month despite losing in a playoff to Mackenzie Hughes. The highlight of Straka's second-place finish was his second round in which he hit eight-of-14 fairways and 13-of-18 greens. That runner-up finish was his third top-three finish since February — this could be the one for the 29-year-old Austrian.
