We are all Blockheads.

Michael Block may not have won the 2023 PGA Championship, but he was the unrivaled star of the tournament, with a rare finish for a PGA pro during the weekend.

While Block quickly ascended to fan favorite for his triumphs at the tournament, he was already a favorite at the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in California. Video of the Arroyo Trabuco clubhouse reacting to his play at Oak Hill surfaced Sunday, and suffice to say, the people love them some Block:

While Arroyo Trabuco is a pretty well-respected course in Orange County, it actually is still in its infancy as compared to other clubs around the country.

Home is where the holes are. Here's what to know about Block's home club on the West Coast:

Where is Michael Block a club pro?

Block's home club, the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club, is located in Mission Viejo, Calif., which is just over an hour north of San Diego.

Block, though, isn't from Mission Viejo; He was born in St. Louis and attended Mississippi State University, University of Missouri-St. Louis and got a degree from the San Diego Golf Academy in course management. Before he was the club pro at Arroyo Trabuco, he was assistant PGA pro at The Lakes Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif., until 2004, when he made the switch to Arroyo Trabuco.

As far as famous golf denizens go, LIV Golf's Cameron Tringale was born in Mission Viejo. Away from the links, soccer star Julie Foudy, Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis, former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez and Cubs pitcher Kyle Hendricks all attended high school in Mission Viejo.

Also worth noting: Marie Callender's, the bakery and restaurant chain, houses its headquarters in Mission Viejo.

Arroyo Trabuco golf course

The public course was designed by five-time PGA Tour winner Tom Lehman, and opened in 2004. The club has never hosted a PGA Tour event.

The course holds a par of 72 and a total length of 7,011 yards at its longest, and has five sets of tee boxes for players of various skill levels.

There are a total of 53 bunkers and the Trabuco Creek, which runs along the course, is a water hazard for seven of the course's holes. On-course lakes also play hazards to three of the holes on course.

Among its other amenities, the club also is home to O'Neill's Bar and Grill, which is heralded for its food and its service. Well, that is of course according to Michael Block.

If you're curious, the club is only accepting members from its waiting list at the moment.
