Wallets out for lights out.

Formula 1 continues its foray into the United States on May 8, when the inaugural Miami Grand Prix takes place just outside of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., home of the Miami Dolphins.

The last time Hard Rock Stadium featured ticket prices as high as they will be for this Sunday's race didn't happen too long ago: Prices soared for Super Bowl 54, when Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs took down the San Francisco 49ers, 31-20.

While cost of admission on the low side are reasonable, prices for this year's Miami GP are just as expensive on the high end, with some tickets nearing the $30,000 mark. With motorsports' growing popularity in the U.S., it's somewhat unsurprising to see F1 challenge the biggest sporting event in the United States for pricy ticket supremacy.

There's good reason for the hype surrounding the circuit, too. With Charles Leclerc and Ferrari leading the way early on, Lewis Hamilton still itching for his first win of the season and Max Verstappen and Red Bull still something of a mystery despite some top-step finishes, there are no shortages of storylines and excitement for Round 5 of the 2022 F1 world championship.

It might be the home of the Dolphins, but expect plenty of porpoising this weekend in Miami.

Here are the ticket prices for this Sunday's race:
