Today's MLB DFS Playbook: Lineup picks, tips for Monday

SP Pablo Lopez, Marlins (vs. Diamondbacks). Through Lopez’s first four starts, which have spanned 23.1 innings, he has allowed one earned run. Lopez has been dominant at home in recent years, notching a 2.34 ERA in 2021. He also notched a 2.56 ERA at home in ‘20, as well. The Diamondbacks are 23rd in DRtg against righthanded pitching this year while also striking out 26.4 percent of the time. Lopez is an elite spot.

SP Zac Gallen, Diamondbacks (@ Marlins). It's not crazy to use him and Lopez in GPPs in the same lineup. It's tough to do this in cash because both guys can’t win, but Gallen’s been great this year. He’s allowed just one earned run through three starts and is coming off six scoreless against the Dodgers. Miami has been a top-five offense against righthanded pitching, but they’re striking out over 23 percent of the time.

C James McCann, Mets (vs. Braes). It's been a tough season for McCann, but man, he's always hit lefties well. Over his entire career, McCann has a .808 OPS vs. southpaws, and he faces a lefty today. He's very, very cheap.

1B Matt Olson, Braves (@ Mets). Olson's loved facing righthanders this year. He's hitting .321 with two HRs and a .416 wOBA against them, and as good as Chris Bassitt has been, lefties have gotten to him. He has allowed a .800 OPS and a .360 wOBA to LHH.

2B Brandon Lowe, Rays (@ A's). It's undeniable that Lowe has struggled mightily up to this point, but we know the upside he possesses in the power department. He belted 39 HRs last year, with 29 coming against righthanded pitching.

3B Alex Bregman, Astros (vs. Mariners). Although Marco Gonzales looks good tonight, Bregman has been mashing lefties his entire career. Gonzales has actually been hit around by righthanders this year, allowing a 1.000 OPS and a .437 wOBA. Bregman has a .970 OPS over his career against LHPs.

SS Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Yankees (@ Blue Jays). If you’re stacking Yankees, he’s one of the cheaper options you can get to -- and a viable one at that. He’s hitting north of .300 vs. RHPs this year, and he has SB upside with a righty on the hill.

OF Max Kepler, Twins (@ Orioles). The Twins outfielder is in a great place at the dish right now, as he’s homered four times over his past six games while slashing .333/.436/.758 over the past 10 games. Kepler has a .361 wOBA vs. RHPs on the year while Tyler Wells has allowed lefties to bat .284 with a .371 wOBA.
