Today's MLB DFS Playbook: Lineup picks, value sleepers for Tuesday daily fantasy baseball contests on FanDuel, DraftKings, Yahoo

(SN/Getty)

Monday's MLB DFS main slate is consistent across the board, as DraftKings, Yahoo Fantasy, and FanDuel will all be using a 12-game slate starting at 7:05 p.m. ET. With massive slates like this, there are usually plenty of potential studs and sleepers to incorporate in our daily fantasy baseball lineups. However, today’s SP options for starting pitchers are pretty rough. The top spend-ups on the mound today are Nick Pivetta and Jameson Taillon – not exactly your fantasy aces of the world. Also, we do, unfortunately, have some possible weather concerns tonight, so make sure to check out the MLB weather report before locking in your lineups.

Today's MLB DFS Playbook: Lineup picks, tips for Tuesday

SP Spencer Howard, Rangers (@ Orioles). Howard is a total roll of the dice, but he's been dominating at AA recently with a 1.59 ERA, 0.53 WHIP, and 25:3 K:BB ratio over his past 17 innings (three starts). The Orioles are 24th in runs per game this season and have the fourth-highest strikeout rate in the league. Even with that said, Howard is a GPP-only play.

SP Alex Wood, Giants (@ Diamondbacks) Wood has been really bad this season -- there’s no getting around that, really. He does have a solid strikeout rate, though, and today he has a good matchup against the D-backs. Arizona is 21st in runs per game this season and has the eighth-highest strikeout rate.

C J.T. Realmuto, Phillies (vs. Nationals). Realmuto is cooking right now, hitting .256 with three home runs and three steals over his past 10 games. He’s been slightly better at home this year on top of that, making him a strong spend-up behind the dish today.

1B Vinnie Pasquatino, Royals (@ Astros). Despite a tough matchup, Pasquantino offers a lot of home run appeal and a cheap price. He had 18 home runs at AAA prior to getting the call.

2B Marcus Semien, Rangers (@Orioles). Semien is hitting .302 with three home runs and two steals over his past 10 games. He is slashing .270/.324/.428 on the road this year compared to .182/.229/.270 at home. That's a recipe for success today against a bad pitcher in Austin Voth.

3B Jose Ramirez, Guardians (@ Tigers). J-Ram is ice cold right now, but he still possesses elite home run and stolen base upside. Even despite the rough stretch, he's hitting .293 with 16 home runs and 12 steals with 63 RBIs.

SS Dansby Swanson, Braves (vs. Cardinlas). Swanson has scored at least 16 DK points in three of his past four games, which is starting to be the norm for him at this point. He is hitting .304 on the year with 14 home runs, 12 steals, and 101 total runs and RBIs across 81 games.

OF Mookie Betts, Dodgers (vs. Rockies). Betts is 3-for-7 with two doubles, an RBI, and a pair of runs scored since being activated off IL. The Dodgers should score in bunches tonight off German Marquez, and Betts will likely be involved in that.

MORE PICKS: SP Nick Pivetta, Phillies (vs. Nationals); C Carson Kelly, Diamondbacks (vs. Giants); 1B Freddie Freeman, Dodgers (vs. Rockies); 2B Andres Gimenez, Guardians (@ Tigers); 3B Nolan Arenado, Cardinals (@ Braves); SS
