Week 4 of the 2022 NFL season kicks off with an AFC showdown between the reigning AFC Champion Bengals and the undefeated Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. This AFC conference matchup has a ton of star power all over the field, especially at the skill positions, which is great news for NFL DFS players putting together a FanDuel single-game lineup.

Before getting into our picks and strategy, here are the notable scoring settings for FanDuel single-game contests: The point total for the "MVP" is multiplied by 1.5, but he doesn't cost any additional money like the "Captain" in DraftKings Showdown contests. FanDuel's default scoring is half-point PPR and four-point passing TDs, and there are no bonuses for 300-yard/100-yard games like on DraftKings.

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Bengals vs. Dolphins Week 4 Thursday Night Football

$60,000 budget, need at least one player from each team

MVP (1.5x points): WR Ja'Marr Chase, Bengals ($13,500)

For our MVP, we'll deviate from rostering a QB and go with a WR we know will accrue a ton of volume in Ja'Marr Chase. The second-year wideout has gotten off to a slower-than-expected start but could really pop off against a Dolphins defense that just allowed 497 total yards in Week 3. Chase still leads the Bengals in receiving yards (212) with a 28.5-percent target share (14th in NFL) while logging 100-percent route participation. Chase continues to garner looks from Joe Burrow in the red zone, (eight red-zone targets) and has the ability to log a 100-plus receiving yard, one-plus TD game on TNF. Rostering him as our MVP gives us a bit more wiggle room to fill out a well-rounded lineup of players.

MORE WEEK 4 DFS: Best values | Best stacks

FLEX QB Joe Burrow, Bengals ($15,500)

If Chase is going to accumulate his fair share of fantasy points on Thursday night, it's going to be due to Joe Burrow putting forth a solid performance. While the Bengals' offensive line is once again a major question mark in this matchup, if Burrow can get enough push from his offensive line he has the chance to pick apart a Dolphins defense that sports PFFs 29th best coverage grade (49.9). We also expect the Bengals to win and cover this game, so Burrow should put forth a respectable stat line.

WEEK 4 DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings

FLEX WR Tyreek Hill, Dolphins ($14,000)

Since we think this game could force the Dolphins into a negative game script if Tua's going to be throwing the football more, how can we not roster Hill, who's already called out Eli Apple and seems primed for a big game? Hill was quiet in the Dolphins' Week 3 victory over the Bills (two catches, 33 yards), but what's not to like about a WR with a 30.2-percent target share (ninth in NFL) while posting 3.73 yards per route run (second in NFL)?

WEEK 4 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kicker

FLEX K Evan McPherson, Bengals ($9,500)

Rostering McPherson allows us to have another player with a fairly stable floor. McPherson has missed two field goals to begin 2022 (seven-of-nine), but he's still one of the most reliable placekickers in the league. A double-digit fantasy-point output is certainly possible from the second-year Florida product.

WEEK 4 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kicker

FLEX TE Mike Gesicki, Dolphins ($7,500)

Considering the offensive success the Dolphins have had in the early season, it's been a bit surprising to see Gesicki rack up just 48 receiving yards through three games. He's certainly the highest-risk player in our lineup, but now might be the best time to buy low on the fifth-year tight end. We're really just banking on a touchdown to give us a chance to get in the money.
