Following a loss to actual boxer Tommy Fury, Jake Paul is making his return to the ring to face yet another washed up MMA fighter, Nate Diaz.

Old, small, battered, retired and desperate for a payday — that's Jake Paul's type.

But is this a boxing match or a business transaction? Even though a vast majority of the boxing community refuses to take this matchup seriously, it will still drive astronomical PPV numbers in the United States, Jake Paul will earn an estimated $2 million and Nate Diaz will bring home a guaranteed $500,000 — more than he earned in his last UFC bout against Tony Ferguson.

On this episode of Fight Disciples, Nick Peet asks if his latest hand-picked opponent is one boxing cash grab too far.

"The Problem Child" faces MMA fighter Diaz in a 10-round catchweight bout on Saturday, August 5 inside the American Airlines Center, streaming on DAZN and ESPN+ PPV.
