Food City 500 odds: Winner bets to consider

It's difficult to peg an outright winner for any race, but we're going to try anyway. Let's start from the top of the board with Kyle Larson, who is the betting favorite to win on Sunday.

Larson is a worthy favorite. The Hendrick Motorsports driver has five top-fives in his last nine starts here including a win and three second-place finishes. Larson (7.4) also has the best average finish of any driver in the Next Gen car at short tracks.

There's not a lot of value at this price, but expect the 2021 Cup Series champion to be in the mix for a win on Sunday.

If you're not big on betting chalk, Hendrick teammate Chase Elliott provides some nice value at +1400 to win. The 2020 Cup Series champion has recorded top-10 finishes in six of his last eight short-track races.

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Christopher Bell captured a victory in Bristol's spring race last year, but that came over a dirt racing surface that has been replaced by concrete. Bell and teammate Denny Hamlin are near the top of the betting board, but we're going to look elsewhere for our winner.

Former JGR driver Kyle Busch has eight career wins on concrete at Bristol. Now driving for Richard Childress Racing, Busch knows his way around this short track. His best finish of the 2024 season came in the opening Clash at the Coliseum, where he finished runner-up on the half-mile paved oval similar to Bristol. Give us Busch at a healthy +1100 to win.

What prop bets can you make on the Food City 500?

There are other ways to bet on NASCAR. Let's take a look at some options for Sunday.

Food City 500 driver props

Head-to-head driver matchups offer a much better chance of winning.

  • Tyler Reddick (-150)
  • Kyle Busch (+115)

If we're betting on Busch to win, there's an obvious correlation to have him finishing ahead of Reddick. A $100 bet on Busch will return $115 in winnings (and your stake back) if he does just that.

Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota compete for bragging rights in the NASCAR Cup Series. Here are their respective odds to win the Food City 500 from DraftKings.

  • Toyota (+135)
  • Chevrolet (+165)
  • Ford (+240)

Ford has won three of the last five concrete races at Bristol. Hamlin won in a Toyota in the most recent event in September of last year.
