Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Punjab Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy to seal their maiden win in IPL 2024. RCB chase was led by none other than Virat Kohli, who scores a match-winning 77-run knock to beat PBKS.
Batting first, PBKS hit 176 runs in their 20 overs, courtesy of a 45-run knock by skipper Shikhar Dhawan. Mohammad Siraj and Glenn Maxwell picked two wickets each for the hosts.
Chasing 177, the RCB scored 178/6 in 19.2 overs. Virat Kohli hit a 49-ball 77, before his stay was cut-short by former RCB speedster, Harshal Patel. However, Chinnaswamy wasn't silenced for long, as Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Karthik's heroics at the death gave RCB the first win of IPL 2024.
