Patna Pirates are the most successful team in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League, and they will be eyeing a record-extending fourth PKL title this season.

As the single most successful team in the history of the tournament, the Pirates will be appearing in the playoffs of PKL for a record-eighth time in PKL 2023-24.
However, after completing a hattrick of title triumphs in 2016 (twice, in January and June) and 2017, the Pirates haven't laid their lands on the coveted PKL trophy.
In the previous season, they failed to reach the playoffs, but they have made amends by qualifying in the top six this season.
In PKL 2023-24, Pirates had a mixed outing in the league phase. In 22 games, the four-time champions mustered 11 wins, losing eight games and drawing three to end in sixth position on the table with 69 points.
However, they have set up a semi-final clash against Puneri Paltan after defeating Dabang Delhi 37-35 in a nail-biting Eliminator.
