India and Pakistan are set to clash in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday at the Nassau County International cricket stadium in New York. This match comes with high stakes, especially for Pakistan, who are under pressure after a surprising loss to the United States of America.

India started their World Cup campaign on a positive note. They won their first game against Ireland by 8 wickets. The men in blue, led by Rohit Sharma, look confident and ready for the upcoming clash against Pakistan.

On the other hand, Pakistan faced a shocking defeat against the USA in Dallas. The loss has put them in a critical position. Another defeat could end their hopes of advancing to the Super 8 stage. The team, led by Babar Azam, has been criticized for their performance, especially Babar's slow innings and his captaincy.

Former Pakistan cricketers have not held back in their criticism of Babar Azam. Danish Kaneria, a former Pakistani bowler, bashed on Babar ahead of the crucial match against India.

What did Danish Kaneria say about Virat Kohli-Babar Azam comparisons?

Danish Kaneria does not believes that Babar has yet reached the level of the Indian star.

“The moment Babar Azam scores a hundred, he is compared with Virat Kohli. Virat kai joote kai barabar bhi nahi hai (He is not even as good as Virat Kohli's shoe). USA Bowlers had him stuck, he was unable to play the bowlers. As soon as he reached 40 odd runs he got out. He should have stayed and won the game. Pakistan should have won the game one sided,” he said.

Kaneria expressed disappointment over the current state of the Pakistani cricket team. He highlighted that Pakistan has a rich history in cricket, and have won multiple world cups and produced many legends. However, the recent performances have not lived up to that legacy, and fans feel let down.

Moreover, Kaneria predicted an easy win for India in Sunday's clash against Pakistan.

"India will beat them badly," he said. "They are not capable of beating India. Whenever Pakistan come to the World Cup they keep praising their bowling and say that their bowling will win them the game but that was the reason they lost the first game."
