Liverpool began 2024 with the possibility of a quadruple of trophies to come in Jurgen Klopp's final months in charge of the club. Now, it looks like being a little less of a famous farewell.
The Reds won the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea in February , but their hopes of another piece of silverware in 2023/24 appear to be over. They were eliminated from the FA Cup after a thrilling 4-3 defeat to fierce rivals Manchester United , while their UEFA Europa League campaign ended in a quarterfinal exit at the hands of Atalanta.
Recent results in the Premier League, particularly that 2-0 Merseyside derby defeat to Everton and the 2-2 draw with West Ham, mean those scenes of celebration at Wembley Stadium on February 25 look like being the high point of Klopp's last season at Anfield.
What do Liverpool need to happen between now and May 19 to keep their Premier League title hopes alive? Is it even still possible for them to beat Arsenal and Manchester City in this engrossing title race? The Sporting News runs through the details.

Can Liverpool still win Premier League?
Liverpool's Premier League title hopes for 2023/24 were officially ended on May 11. Manchester City's 4-0 win over Fulham confirmed that the Reds could no longer finish top of the table.
They can end the season with a maximum of 84 points, provided that they win their remaining matches, and City are on 85 with two games to go. That means Jurgen Klopp will not be able to win the trophy for a second time.
They could still finish second, but that would likely require Arsenal to lose both of their final matches.
