The Rams may want to "run it back" with their Super Bowl-winning team in 2022, but will they be able to convince Von Miller to stay?

Miller, 32, is set to be a free agent during the 2022 offseason. While the Rams are among the contenders to sign the eight-time Pro-Bowler, it seems like Miller has his sights set on another familiar location.

On Monday, Miller hinted that he could return to the Broncos in 2022. The two-time Super Bowl champion tweeted he wanted "that old thing back."

Miller spent the first 10 years of his career in Denver before being traded to the Rams ahead of the 2021 NFL trade deadline.

Certainly, that's a cryptic tweet, but the "5280" reference is particularly important in this context. Why? Because the city of Denver is perched at an elevation of 5,280 feet — or, one mile. That's how the Broncos' stadium, Empower Field, got its nickname of "Mile High Stadium."

Additionally, Miller posted pictures of himself in a Broncos uniform on his Instagram story. One of them was captioned, "I wonder if they'll give me my old locker back?"

Miller was emotional when the Broncos first traded him to the Rams and spoke well of the team and city on his way out.

"It's always tough whenever you leave, but I love all my fans and I love Broncos country," Miller said in early November. "When I said 'Broncos for life,' I meant that. They'll always be in my heart."

Miller eventually perked up after joining the Rams and winning Super Bowl 56. But perhaps his heart will lead him back to Denver as he becomes an unrestricted free agent for the first time during his NFL career.

Should Aaron Rodgers find his way to the Broncos via trade at the start of free agency, Miller's reunion with the Broncos could hold even more water.

Or perhaps his social media activity can be seen as a leverage play to entice the Rams to offer a little more on top of a new deal to keep him in the City of Angels.
