The "NBA 2K" video game series released a first look at star players in "NBA 2K24" on Tuesday.

In-game snapshots of superstar athletes like Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant and others were revealed. Also included was the NBA's all-time leading scorer, LeBron James.

James is notable because he's the oldest active player in the NBA. He was a rookie back in 2003 with the Cavaliers when the video game landscape was a lot different.

As a result, the comparison of his first appearance in the "NBA 2K" series vs. his latest is pretty staggering.

James made his first appearance in the game "ESPN NBA Basketball." The title is a little confusing since it is the first game to feature the ESPN name without "2K" in the title. But the game was developed by the same company and it is basically just "NBA 2K4."

Fast forward 20 years later and James is still going strong, looking much more realistic in the virtual world.
