Scottie Scheffler will look to defend his Players Championship title a week after he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
This year's tournament has even more significance as it will the 50th iteration of the Players Championship.
A lot of notable names and past champions will compete, from Scheffler to Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Webb Simpson, Si-Woo Kim, Rickie Fowler and Matt Kuchar. Notably absent from the field, though: Tiger Woods.
Unsurprisingly, Scheffler and McIlroy are the favorites to win this weekend. Scheffler tore up the Players Championship in 2023 and won with an incredible 17-under, which was five strokes ahead of second-place finisher Tyrrell Hatton.
Scheffler also looks to become the first back-to-back winner in the history of the Players Championship.

Viewers can stream the 2024 Players Championship in a few different ways.
ESPN+ will air early morning coverage of the tournament beginning at 7:30 a.m. ET. Peacock and Fubo will air simulcasts of the TV broadcasts on Golf Channel and NBC.
