In the final game on Sunday, the 49ers will travel to the Mile High City to play the Broncos on Sunday Night Football (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC). The 49ers are coming into the primetime matchup as 1.5-point favorites, with the over/under total set at 45, according to Caesars Sportsbook. This game has a lot of good players on both teams, which will give DFS players a variety of ways to put together their FanDuel single-game lineup.

Let's dive into our FanDuel Single Game Showdown for Sunday Night Football. Here are the notable scoring settings for FanDuel single-game contests:

  • The point total for the "MVP" is multiplied by 1.5, but he doesn't cost any additional money like the "Captain" in DraftKings Showdown contests.
  • FanDuel's default scoring is half-point PPR and four-point passing TDs.
  • Unlike on DraftKings, FanDuel features no bonuses for 300-yard/100-yard games

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: 49ers vs. Broncos Sunday Night Football

$60,000 budget; must roster at least one player from each team

MVP (1.5x points): WR Deebo Samuel, Packers ($15,000)

At the MVP spot, we will go with the do-it-all receiver Deebo Samuel. Samuel hasn't scored a touchdown this season but managed to have back-to-back double-digit fantasy performances to start the season. In Week 2, Samuel was involved in both the receiving and running games, producing 97 yards on nine touches (12.2 fantasy points). We should expect Samuel to be utilized out of the backfield once again because the 49ers lost rookie Tyrion Davis-Price to injury, who was backing up Jeff Wilson Jr. San Francisco is going to find ways to get him the ball, making him a perfect choice for MVP.

FLEX QB Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers ($15,500)

If we are going to roster Samuel into our lineup, it's best to have Jimmy Garoppolo as one of our FLEX for Sunday night. Garoppolo made his 2022 debut last week against the Seahawks, replacing Trey Lance, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury. The veteran quarterback did a solid job of moving the chains (13/21 for 154 yards, a touchdown, and a rushing touchdown) and recorded 16.66 fantasy points. Garoppolo isn't a QB that's going to throw for 250-300 yards and three touchdowns every week. However, if you can get this type of efficient performance we saw in Week 2 on Sunday night, it could net you a potential 20-point spot in your lineup.

WEEK 3 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

FLEX WR Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers ($9,500)

Sticking with the 49ers' offense, we are going to bank on Aiyuk building off what he did last week against the Seahawks. The former first-round pick had five receptions (eight targets) for 63 yards and 8.8 fantasy points. It was a vast improvement from what we saw from Aiyuk in Week 1, where he had two receptions (three targets) and 5.7 fantasy points in rainy conditions. The Broncos have a solid secondary, which features Patrick Surtain, Ronald Darby, and K'Waun Williams at the cornerback spot. However, those three guys will still give up a big passing play or two, which Aiyuk can capitalize on with his playmaking.

WEEK 3 DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings | Yahoo

FLEX RB Javonte Williams, Broncos ($13,500)

Williams will be the lone Broncos' player in our FanDuel single-game lineup for Sunday night. The second-year running back can do a little bit of everything, which is what you want in NFL DFS. Williams had a solid outing in Week 2, posting 75 yards on 15 carries and a 10-yard reception (nine fantasy points). Denver and DFS players would like to see the former UNC running back duplicate his Week 1 performance against the Seahawks, where he had 18 touches for 108 yards (14.3 fantasy points). The Niners' defense is ranked first against the pass and second against the run, which is nothing to sneeze at. However, Williams will be a big part of the offense and give San Francisco some problems.

WEEK 3 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

FLEX RB Marlon Mack, 49ers ($6,500)

We are going to take a flier on Mack, who was promoted from the practice squad earlier this week and might get some playing time behind Jeff Wilson Jr. The 49ers lost rookie Tyrion Davis-Price to a high-ankle sprain in Week 2. Mack and UDFA rookie Jordan Mason will be competing to be the backup behind Wilson Jr., and both could get playing time on Sunday night. If you have Mack in your lineup, do not expect a ton of points, but he could get a cheap TD and return value.
