Billy Slater's side took a giant step towards retaining the State of Origin shield with a 38-10 win in Sydney in Game 1.
Blues centre Joseph Suaalii was sent off less than 10 minutes into the game for a high shot which knocked Reece Walsh out.
With the opposition a man down, the likes of Daly Cherry-Evans, Ben Hunt and Tom Dearden were able to find plenty of holes in the defence to set up a big victory.

Reece Walsh lasted just seven minutes of the Origin opener before he copped a sickening high shot from Suaalii that saw him sidelined for the rest of the contest.
The Broncos fullback missed his club's two games in between Origin matches but has been named regardless by Slater.
Xavier Coates was great for the Maroons in Sydney as he churned through a team-high 185 run metres while also touching down for a try.
The Storm flyer will be joined in an unchanged backline by Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who covered for Walsh at the back, and Murray Taulagi and Valentine Holmes.
Cameron Munster declared he is still eight weeks away from returning from injury. So, Tom Dearden keeps his spot at five-eighth alongside Daly Cherry-Evans, who was crowned Player of the Match in Game I.
Ben Hunt crossed for the first try of the match in Game I and is again set to start at the MCG ahead of Harry Grant.
Lindsay Collins punched out over 100 run metres as his partner up front, Reuben Cotter, made 39 tackles. The duo will combine once again, with Patrick Carrigan retaining his place at lock.
Jeremiah Nanai has been nursing a calf injury while in camp but will play in Game II.
J'maine Hopgood suffered injury issues while backing up for the Eels after Origin I and has been sidelined. Felise Kaufusi has been named as his replacement after coming on as 18th man in Sydney.
David Fifita, who missed out on selection in the opening game, was sidelined with an ankle issue in round 15, so wasn't considered for a call-up.
Kurt Capewell has found his way into the 17 in place of Selwyn Cobbo, who Slater confirmed has been carrying an injury and has "a few things that he would like to work on."
Dane Gagai is the 18th man after the two other reserves - Heilum Luki and Trent Loiero - were cut from the squad.
