How to watch World Darts Championship in Australia: Dates, time, TV channel, streaming

The world's best darts players will come together at the iconic Alexandra Palace in London, England for the 2023/24 edition of the World Darts Championship.

Taking place on either side of the Christmas period, the tournament will see competitors navigate through six rounds before the remaining two players face off in the final.

When is the World Darts Championship?

The battle for the Sid Waddell trophy will begin on December 15, 2023 (Dec. 16 in Australia) and finish on January 3, 2024 (Jan. 4 in Australia).

World Darts Championship prize money

Hitting the big time in darts pays well. The Professional Darts Corporation have again allocated a prize of £500,000 to the winner, with the runner-up receiving £200,000 as part of a £2.5 million total prize fund.

World Darts Championship format

After first and second-round matches that are best-of-five sets, the third and fourth rounds are best-of-seven.

The quarterfinals are best-of-nine sets, the semifinals best-of-11 sets and the final is best-of-13 sets. Players take turns to throw at the start of each set, which are won by the first player to take three legs.
