The team has headed to Australia for a five-match Test series against Australia as part of their preparations for the tournament. The series will begin on April 6. India's last tour of Australia in 2022 did not end well, as they lost the series 4-1.

The 28-man squad departed from New Delhi for Perth, Western Australia on April 2.
