The Buccaneers offense may be a bit hamstrung without Mike Evans.

The former All-Pro wide receiver was off to another solid start to a season, catching three touchdown passes through his first three games of the 2023 season. Now, it's unclear when he'll be able to add to that total.

Evans suffered a hamstring injury in the Buccaneers' Week 4 matchup vs. the Saints. The severity of the hamstring injury is unclear, but it is the latest in a string of injuries to Evans' lower half. While not all of Evans' hamstring injuries have caused him to miss time, it's an unfortunate trend that has followed him into the season.

Here's the latest on the Bucs'

Mike Evans injury update

On Oct. 1, Evans suffered a hamstring injury in a matchup vs. the Saints, and was ruled out after attempting to give it a go for the start of the second half.

Evans suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of Tampa Bay's divisional matchup vs. New Orleans. He would initially be listed as questionable to return, but after attempting to stretch out the leg after the half, Evans would head back into the locker room and be ruled out.

It's unclear how severe Evans' hamstring injury is, but Fox Sports' Jen Hale reported that Evans wanted to make his way back out for the second half on Sunday, but he was ultimately overridden by Bucs training staff.

Entering the Week 4 matchup, Evans caught 17 passes for 297 yards and three touchdowns on the season. He added another three catches for 40 yards in the first half vs. New Orleans.

It's not a great turn of events for Evans, who was locked in a contract dispute with the Buccaneers prior to the start of the 2023 season. Entering the last year of his deal, the 30-year-old wideout was looking for a new contract, but couldn't make any headway with Tampa Bay's front office prior to his Week 1 deadline.
