Jimmy Garoppolo is no stranger to injuries, and in Week 6, the Raiders quarterback was reacquainted with the blue medical tent on the Las Vegas sideline.

In the second quarter of the Raiders-Patriots matchup, Garoppolo took a seemingly innocuous hit that left him a bit woozy, but it turned out to be pretty serious.

Here's the latest on the Raiders passer:

Jimmy Garoppolo injury update

In the first half of the Raiders-Patriots Week 6 matchup, Garoppolo took a hit from Patriots linebacker Jahlani Tavai, and cameras caught the passer getting up a bit hobbled.

It's unclear if the Tavai hit is what injured him or exacerbated the issue, but Garoppolo would exit the game soon after.

Heidi Fang of the Las Vegas Review Journal reported she saw the quarterback get into an ambulance that then departed Allegiant Stadium.

Brian Hoyer would take over for Garoppolo with rookie Aidan O'Connell inactive on Sunday in Week 6.

It's not the first time that Garoppolo is dealing with an injury in 2023. He missed the Raiders' Week 4 matchup vs. the Chargers while dealing with a concussion.
