Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill purse, salaries: How much money will they make for UFC 300 fight?

Las Vegas will host a UFC 300 card featuring over ten former and current champions and potential legends in the making on April 13. The main event will see UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira defend the belt against former champion Jamahal Hill. 

Pereira is a former UFC middleweight and GLORY kickboxing champion. Winning two belts in the octagon in two years, and seven fights is the shortest amount of time in UFC history, “Poatan” is ready to continue his journey by headlining a crucial cars.

“It’s very important; UFC 100 and 200 and 300 are massive, so it’s really important for me to be able to be a part of this,” Pereira told UFC.com. “Especially because when I came in, a lot of critics, a lot of fighters, a lot of people said I wouldn’t be able to amount to anything; that I was a one-dimensional kickboxer. 

“I proved all of those people wrong, and here I am headlining UFC 300.”

Hill is the first Dana White’s Contender Series standout to win UFC gold. “Sweet Dreams” beat Glover Teixeira, Pereira's coach, to become UFC light heavyweight champion. He was forced to relinquish the belt due to injury but is ready to reclaim gold on the biggest stage.

The event will also see Zhang Weili vs. Yan Xiaonan for the UFC strawweight title, and Justin Gaethje defending the BMF belt against Max Holloway. Jim Miller, who also competed at UFC 100 and 200, is the only fighter who will return for UFC 300, while Kayla Harrison makes her UFC debut against former champion Holly Holm.

The interest in the historic fight card will hopefully result in a massive payday for all fighters involved. The Sporting News looks into the purse history and net worth of Pereira and Hill and predicts what they could earn at UFC 300. 

UFC 300: Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill fight purse, prize money

The official UFC 300 purse has not been released, but previous payouts for Pereira and Hill, including their last bout, could help provide insight into how much they will earn on fight night. 

Per The Sports Daily, Pereira made $134,000 in his UFC debut against Andreas Michailidis at Madison Square Garden. Per Sports Zion, he took home $188,000 against Sean Strickland.

When he beat Israel Adesanya at UFC 281 to become UFC middleweight champion, Pereira took home $932k, per Total Sportal, including a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. In the rematch at UFC 287, Total Sportal had Pereira earning about $1.2 million.

Per Bet MGM, Pereira earned $850,000 against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291. When he defeated Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295 to become the UFC light heavyweight champion, Pereira took home $1,132,000, per Marca. That includes PPV shares and sponsorship deals.

Per The Sports Daily, Hill reportedly made $10,000 in his Dana White’s Contender Series debut in 2019.  

When he began his four-fight win streak against Jimmy Crute in 2021, Hill made $110,500. Against Johnny Walker, he made $136,000, and for his battle with Thiago Santos in August, Hill earned a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus. 

Per The Sports Grail, Hill took home $392,000 for his UFC 293 appearance against Glover Teixeira which saw him win the UFC light heavyweight title. That includes a UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay of $32,000 per MMA Junkie
