Japanese raider Obamburumai has taken out the $10 million Golden Eagle at Rosehill in Sydney.
In his first run since May and first start in Australia, the Keiji Yoshimura-trained gelding timed his run to perfection, led by a classy steer from Josh Parr.
Godolphin pair Pericles and Golden Mile gave Obamburumai something to chase and the horse was more than up to the task, crossing the line a head in front.

What is the Golden Eagle?
Introduced in 2019, the Golden Eagle is a set-weights race contested by four-year-olds over 1500 metres each spring and compete for their share in $10 million worth of prize money.
Despite the quality of horses involved, the race is yet to earn Group 1 status, similar to The Everest.
When is the 2023 Golden Eagle?
This year's Golden Eagle raceday will take place on Saturday, 4th November.
The race will be eighth on a 10-race card and will jump at 4.45pm AEDT.
