Wales host Poland in Cardiff on March 26 in a winner-takes-all Euro 2024 playoff final.

Both sides stormed through their playoff semifinals last week as Wales secured a 4-1 home win over Finland and Poland hammered Estonia 5-1 in Warsaw.

The prize on offer for both teams is a spot at Euro 2024 this summer, and the contest must be settled on the night, with the nervous possibility of extra-time and penalties in the event of a draw.

Wales vs Poland lineups, team news

Rob Page has not flagged up any fresh injury concerns following the win over Finland and the hosts could stick with an unchanged starting XI. Tottenham striker Brennan Johnson is set to lead the attack after scoring last week.

Wales predicted XI (3-4-3, right to left): Ward (GK) — Mepham, Rodon, Davies — Roberts, Ampadu, James, Williams — Brooks, Johnson, Wilson.

Wales subs (9): TBC

Poland will be without Aston Villa full-back Matty Cash after he was forced to pull out of the camp due to injury. Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jakub Moder could start with Barcelona hitman Robert Lewandowski the danger man in attack.

Poland predicted XI (3-5-2 right to left): Szczesny (GK) — Bednarek, Dawidowicz, Kiwior  — Frankowski, Zielinski, Moder, Piotrowski, Zalewski — Lewandowski, Swiderski

Poland subs (9): TBC

Wales vs Poland prediction

Both sides passed their semifinal tests with ease, so there is little to pick between them in terms of immediate form, ahead of crunch night in the Welsh capital.

Home advantage could eventually tip the balance for Wales and they have only lost one of their seven matches in Cardiff since the start of 2024.

Prediction: Wales 1-0 Poland
