The English Premier League is back, and the 2023/24 campaign promises plenty of dramatic storylines.

Will superstar striker Erling Haaland help Manchester City claim a record fourth consecutive title, or could Arsenal become champions of England for the first time in 20 years?

Manchester United will also be in the mix with Erik ten Hag at the helm for his second season, while Liverpool have aspirations of a return to the top four — and potentially more.

At the other end of the table, the newly-promoted trio of Luton Town, Sheffield United and Burnley will have their work cut out for them, with an intense relegation battle expected.

Is Haaland a lock for the Golden Boot?

Erling Haaland took the Premier League by storm last campaign, scoring a record-breaking 36 goals.

In his second season at Manchester City, could we see him top his own record and potentially crack the 40 goals mark?

Outside of the feats he may achieve, he is the big favourite to pick up the Golden Boot award for 2023/24.

Harry Kane — whose Tottenham future is still unclear — and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah are on the next two lines of betting and are set to play a starring role for their respective clubs.

As far as outside bets go, Ollie Watkins could be in contention if he keeps up last season's form, leading the line for an improved and attacking-minded Aston Villa side.

At the end of the day though, any bet is an outside bet for Golden Boot if it's not Haaland. The Norwegian looks unstoppable.

TO SCORE MOST GOALS: Erling Haaland ($1.72) | Harry Kane ($8.00) | Mohamed Salah ($9.00) | Marcus Rashford ($17.00) | Darwin Nunez ($19.00) | Gabriel Jesus ($21.00) | Christopher Nkunku ($29.00) | Ollie Watkins ($34.00)

Will De Bruyne maintain his status as the assist king?

When it comes to assists in the Premier League, Belgian superstar Kevin de Bruyne is your man.

The Manchester City midfielder finished with 16 assists last season, four more than Mohamed Salah and Leandro Trossard.

Playing for the best team in the competition, he is rated a $3.00 chance to finish top of the list again this campaign.

Despite having a quieter 2022/23 season, explosive wing-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is on the next line of betting.

He's followed by Bruno Fernandes, who will be pulling the strings in midfield for an attacking Manchester United team.

TO GIVE MOST ASSISTS: Kevin de Bruyne ($3.00) | Trent Alexander-Arnold ($7.50) | Bruno Fernandes ($9.00) | Michael Olise ($13.00) | Bukayo Saka ($13.00) | Andrew Robertson ($15.00) | Jack Grealish ($17.00) | Martin Ødegaard ($17.00)

Can Rice take Arsenal to the title?

England international Declan Rice has joined Arsenal for a club record AU$204 million as the Gunners look to make a serious push for the title.

Granit Xhaka will be a loss in midfield for Mikel Arteta's side, but Rice is undoubtedly a top talent and should improve the team.

Arsenal have also splashed the cash on Kai Havertz — who struggled at times for Chelsea — and dynamic Dutch talent Jurrien Timber.

Squad depth will be key, with the Champions League also set to be a priority for the club, and their new signings will be important in that aspect.

The question is whether title favourites Manchester City will be too strong over 38 games, or if Arsenal can avoid a late-season drop-off like last campaign.

They have the talent there, but maintaining title-winning form over a full season is no easy feat.

ARSENAL 2023/24: Champions ($6.00), Top 4 ($1.37)

Top four hunt: Who qualifies for the Champions League?

Arsenal and Manchester City are widely-backed to finish in the top four again this season, but the remaining two positions are certainly up for debate.

Liverpool and Manchester United are the odds-on favourites to round out the Champions League spots and have the squads to do so.

As for the other two 'Big Six' teams, Chelsea and Tottenham will need to improve greatly following their lacklustre showings last season and will hope their new managers can guide them up the ladder.

Newcastle will have to balance Champions League football with Premier League fixtures this year but proved their ability to punch above their weight last campaign.

Rounding out the contenders are Brighton and Aston Villa, who showed some impressive form at the backend of 2022/23, and could threaten some of the bigger sides.

TOP FOUR FINISH: Manchester City ($1.07) | Arsenal ($1.37) | Liverpool ($1.58) | Manchester United ($1.73) | Newcastle ($2.50) | Chelsea ($2.63) | Tottenham ($4.50) | Brighton ($6.00) | Aston Villa ($10.00)

Can Ange Postecoglou fix Spurs?

Last season, Tottenham finished outside the top six, crashing to 8th - their worst finish since 2008/09.

So, can new manager Ange Postecoglou bring Spurs back up the table?

The north London club appointed the Australian coach following his success with Celtic in Scotland, where he instilled an attacking philosophy that saw the Hoops win the domestic treble.

Tottenham desperately want to end their trophy drought, but the big question is how patient they will be with Postecoglou.

Do they stick with the long-term plan and potentially reap rewards, similar to Mikel Arteta's tenure at Arsenal?

Or could a slow start in England's top flight see their new manager sent packing early?

Signs of an attacking and tactical revolution have been positive in pre-season, but time will tell whether he's the right fit.

TOTTENHAM 2023/24: Best in London ($5.50), Top 4 ($4.50), Top 6 ($2.10)

Who does down? EPL relegation battle awaits

While there is plenty of excitement at the top of the table this season, the 2023/24 relegation battle promises to be an intriguing one.

Luton Town are strong favourites to go down, followed by the also newly-promoted Sheffield United in the betting market. Whilst the odds aren't in their favour, a 'smaller' side typically surprises each season, so safety cannot be ruled out.

As for the third relegation spot, the betting market is wide open.

Bournemouth — who recovered nicely to avoid the drop last campaign — are in the mix, despite recruiting smartly over the summer.

Everton survived last season and will be hoping Sean Dyche's pragmatic style of football can see the Toffees steer clear of the club's first-ever relegation from the top flight.

There are high expectations for a Burnley side who dominated the Championship last year, but life in the Premier League is rarely easy for a newly-promoted side.

Fulham and Wolves round out the main candidates for relegation, with the latter already starting 2023 on the backfoot after sacking coach Julien Lopetegui in pre-season.

TO BE RELEGATED: Luton Town ($1.33) | Sheffield United ($1.65) | Bournemouth ($3.00) | Burnley ($3.50) | Nottingham Forest ($3.50) | Everton ($3.75) | Wolves ($3.75) | Fulham ($4.50) | Crystal Palace ($8.00) | West Ham ($9.00) | Brentford ($9.00)
