AFL draw 2019: Round one fixture
Carlton Blues and Richmond Tigers are set to kick off the 2019 season, with the first round draw being released by the AFL on Saturday.
The clubs will meet on a Thursday night blockbuster at the MCG for the 11th time in 12 years. The opening match between Carlton and Richmond has drawn an average crowd of 80,622 over the past four years.
The season is scheduled to begin on March 21, 2019, with Fremantle and North Melbourne to close the round on Sunday, March 24.
