Arsenal's Premier League title challenge takes them to Old Trafford on Sunday to face an out-of-form and injury-riddled Manchester United.

The Red Devils were battered 4-0 by Crystal Palace on Monday to place manager Erik ten Hag under even greater scrutiny amid a run of just two wins in 10 league matches.

United's poor form in the decisive weeks of a dreadful Premier League season have left them looking at risk of missing out on qualification for Europe altogether next term, unless they can upset the odds and defeat Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Injuries have blighted Ten Hag's squad throughout 2023/24 and the depth of the crisis was laid bare at Palace as 36-year-old Jonny Evans, himself recovering from injury, had to partner the fading Casemiro at the heart of the defence.

While Ten Hag will hope for some blessed relief on the injury front, Mikel Arteta has few such concerns. The Gunners have an almost entirely clean bill of health as they pursue the wins they need to keep the pressure on title rivals Manchester City, who know they will become champions for a record fourth consecutive season if they win all their remaining matches.

The Sporting News looks at the latest team news and predicted lineups for this game.

Man United vs Arsenal lineups, starting 11, team news

United are expected to have captain Bruno Fernandes available after returning to training following his absence from the Palace defeat — his first injury-enforced absence from a game in his Red Devils career.

Ten Hag desperately needs defenders to recover fitness but there is little guarantee that any centre-backs except Jonny Evans, who played through injury against the Eagles, will be available.

Lisandro Martinez returned to training this week but is unlikely to be risked given his comeback date was originally set for the cup final, Ten Hag also stated in his press conference that Martinez wanted to play but is not quite ready. As a result, Casemiro may be forced to continue at the heart of defence despite his poor performance at Selhurst Park.

Striker Anthony Martial could be in the matchday squad for the first time since December, while Marcus Rashford will make his 400th appearance for the club if he plays for the first time since the FA Cup semifinal against Coventry City.

Mason Mount has suffered a fresh injury and will be sidelined against the Gunners.

Man United predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Onana (GK) — Dalot, Casemiro, Evans, Wan-Bissaka — Mainoo, Eriksen — Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho — Hojlund

Injured: Fernandes (doubt), Kambwala, Lindelof, Malacia, Maguire, Martial, Martinez, McTominay (doubt), Rashford, Shaw, Varane
Suspended: None

Arsenal's injury picture is far rosier. Jurrien Timber could be in the squad as he aims to return to first-team football before the end of the season, and the Gunners have an otherwise clean bill of health.

Arsenal predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Raya (GK) — White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko — Odegaard, Partey, Rice — Saka, Havertz, Trossard

Injured: Timber (doubt)
Suspended: None
