Things took an interesting turn while Luka Doncic spoke at the podium following the Mavericks' Game 2 win over the Thunder in the NBA Playoffs.
As Doncic explained what went into the Mavericks' 119-110 victory, which tied the second-round series at 1-1, noises best described as NSFW began to blare from somewhere in Oklahoma City's Paycom Center. The noises were loud enough to be heard by everyone present in the media room and were picked up by Doncic's microphone.
In response to the sounds, an animated Doncic dropped his head in disbelief while reporters could not hold back laughter. This is the type of situation you have to see (and hear) to believe.

A true professional, Doncic's comedic timing was on point. From his facial expressions to the response — "I hope that's not live" — Doncic broke the ice and elicited more laughter from media members who may have been uncomfortable because of the awkward noises.
Naturally, Doncic's expressive reaction went viral, setting social media ablaze with the comedic element of the moment and the absurdity of the sounds that emanated at that particular moment.
From someone attempting to throw Doncic off in his interview to someone forgetting that they were connected to a Bluetooth speaker, there was plenty of social media speculation about the source of the audio intrusion.
We may never know the real answer, but it made for an unforgettable postgame moment.

And while the postgame noises may have been NSFW, Doncic's in-game performance was certainly a welcome sight for Mavericks fans of all ages.
After Doncic struggled at the end of the first round and in Game 1 of the semifinals, he finished with 29 points (on 11-of-21 shooting), 10 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and a block to help lead Dallas to victory. And the 25-year-old guard posted the stellar stat line even while dealing with a sprained right knee.
As the series swings to Texas for Games 3 and 4, Doncic will look to continue his strong play. But both the Mavericks star and the media will likely hope to experience more uneventful postgame pressers.
